Vice President of Marketing and Sales Nissan Guillaume Cartier told the publication Autocar that the new Qashqai can debut in the segment of electric vehicles. The car is supposed to be equipped with an improved power plant, familiar for electric Nissan LEAF and NV 200 EV. Both models are equipped with a 109-horsepower electric motor, whose maximum torque is 280 Nm. The power plant is powered by a lithium-ion battery, the life of which is replenished by 80% using the Quick Charge system in just 30 minutes.
Along with the electric engine in the range of Nissan Qashqai engines of the generation "next", journalists expect to find a 1.2-liter gasoline engine and diesel units of 1.5 and 1.6 liters. The power of the petrol engine is 115 hp, engines operating on heavy fuel, develop 110 and 130 hp, respectively. Later, a hybrid version of the crossover will come onto the market, whose batteries can be recharged from a regular outlet of the tuning cars.
