The Japanese automaker Nissan has stopped accepting applications for the purchase of the Pixo siticar, which will soon lose its "registration" in the company's model range.
Production of the Nissan Pixo will be stopped after the concern fulfills its obligations to customers for current orders. The company noted that Pixo is still popular in several European and Asian countries, but Nissan decided to focus on assembling other, more modern compact cars.
"In the model range, Nissan has enough competitive city cars, so the company is quite successful in the compact market. We have a Micra hatchback, Juke crossover and the latest generation of the five-door exclusive cars Note model, which we are going to focus on," a Japanese company reported to Autocar.
Nissan Pixo, which debuted at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, is produced in India in the same company as the Suzuki Alto. In the UK, rival Toyota Aygo, Kia Picanto and Hyundai i10 were priced at just under £ 7,000.
Recall that at the end of the summer Nissan introduced a compact Terrano SUV, built on the basis of the best-selling Renault Duster.
