Poland asked Gazprom for information on the case against Nord StreamThe Russian company received a notification from the Polish regulator on January 15, 2020. It refers to the provision of information and documents for the investigation of the case.

In May 2019, the Polish Antitrust Authority charged Gazprom and five partners of the Nord Stream 2 project - OMV, Wintershall, Shell, Uniper and Engie - with charges of violating the country's antitrust laws due to financing the construction of the project.

In autumn, the Polish regulator fined Engie Energy, one of the largest energy companies in Europe, for PLN 172 million ($ 44.7 million) for not providing information necessary for the investigation.
