Debuted last year at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the Bentley Mulsanne concept cabriolet will remain a show car.
Executive Director of the British brand Wolfgang Schreiber said that the company decided to abandon the idea of developing a serial version of an open modification of Mulsanne. According to the leadership of the brand, consumer demand for the car is not expected to be high enough and the cost of developing and manufacturing the model may not pay off.
"We are not going to launch the Mulsanne convertible in mass production. Interest in such a car will be observed in only a few countries," said Wolfgang Schreiber.
It was previously reported that Bentley intends to release the ideological successor of the Azure convertible with a gasoline engine with a capacity of over 500 hp. Four-seater transport with a retractable roof was estimated at € 350 thousand.
Note that at present the British automaker is busy developing the first ever crossover brand. The SUV, primarily aimed at customers living in Russia and China, will appear at the company's dealers in 2016.
